The prompts on your current HUD override every chart on this page. Two September 6, 2026 articles from the same illustrated walkthrough agree on the live mouse actions, and a September 2 beginner guide prints the same PC layout. An earlier September 1 chart that maps tackle to F does not match those prompts. A September 15 scoring article even lists Request and Slide on E in the same table. If your client disagrees, follow the client.

Actions used in a live match

Action Input What it does
Move W A S D Movement. Not listed in the remappable keybind rows.
Sprint Shift Drains stamina. Illustrated guides describe four pips.
Kick or hit Left click Sends the ball, or hits an opponent.
Charged kick Hold left click A power shot. Harder to place. Use it when no pass is open, not as the default finish.
Pass Right click Sends the ball toward a teammate. Off the ball, the same button can request the ball.
Lob F A high pass over a blocker.
Request R Asks the carrier to send the ball back, on the September 6 chart.
Flick Q Lifts the ball. Confirm the live label before you combo it.
Slide tackle E Trips a nearby player and can free the ball. Missing it locks you in a short recovery.
Dribble Space A sideways touch when someone is about to hit you.
Equip from a box 1 and 2 Readies a gadget. The HUD shows two item buttons even when loadout guides mention three names.
Curve Read the Curve row Hold the bound key while you shoot and move the aim sideways. Defaults in videos do not match.

Shift-lock is a Roblox toggle, often Left Control, and does not appear in the game's keybind list.

Curve is a separate bind

Curve shots showed up in mid-September 2026 tutorials. The action is rebindable, and the published defaults conflict:

  • One October 4 writeup says hold middle mouse while you shoot, then drag the mouse. On a controller it says hold LT and RT and push the right stick.
  • A September 19 tutorial opens Gameplay Keybinds and finds Curve on right mouse or T. The shot is a charged left click, then hold the curve input and move the mouse. That tutorial maps phones to dragging the movement stick, and controllers to holding pass and moving the right stick.
  • A September 18 tutorial tells you to set Curve to R or C and raise curve sensitivity if that slider is on the screen.
  • Comments on a September 14 video also describe middle mouse, or holding left click and right click together.

Open the gear menu and read the Curve row before you memorize any of those. Practice five curves on the AI keeper. A mobile creator separately said they had not tested phone curve, so if the phone prompt does not match the stick-drag tutorial, follow the prompt.

Aerial shots use the flick, not a secret button. Tutorials that agree say: press Q, do not start running until the spark appears, then run, jump, and kick. Running before the spark makes the ball glide away. Hold the kick as you meet the ball if a normal tap does not register the aerial.

Keyboard alternates in the gear menu

The Keybinds section also ships keyboard rows, and several actions share keys on purpose. The September 6 walkthrough says these are alternates: kicking still sits on left click, and passing still sits on right click.

Action Default keyboard keys in that walkthrough
Kick G, T
Pass F, Y
Dribble Space
Dive Q, E
Flick Q, E
Tackle E, R
Lob F, R
Request R, T
Sprint Shift
Item 1 1
Item 2 2
Jump Space

Q and E cover both Dive and Flick. F appears on Pass and Lob. E and R both touch Tackle. That overlap is why remapping matters. Flick and Dribble are the two actions players most often have mapped differently. The prompt bar at the bottom of the screen, next to the stamina bars, names the key it wants.

How to remap

  1. In the lobby, click the gear icon at the top left.
  2. Scroll past Performance Mode, the gameplay toggles, and the volume sliders to Keybinds.
  3. Click the box beside the action. The row starts listening. Sprint, Tackle, and Curve are the usual first moves.
  4. Press the new key. The box updates immediately. There is no separate save button.

If a row is cleared, it turns red, shows a plus button, and the match prints Unbound actions - Fix in Settings. Click the plus and assign a key that is not already doing another job. Leaving Item 1 or Item 2 empty means you can hold a gadget and still be unable to fire it.

Goalkeeper prompts

Any player can take the goal by stepping into the rectangle in front of the net, and only one player holds it. Inside that box the illustrated guide says you can catch the ball, punch attackers, and throw to a teammate. Early September frames show the legend swap to Punch and Dive when the game announces that you are the goalkeeper. Dive is already on the keyboard list as Q and E. Read the swapped labels before you assume the outfield kick button still shoots.

Toggles that change play

Setting Practical choice
Assisted Passes On while you learn. It helps send the ball toward a teammate. Turn it off later if it locks onto the wrong player.
Automatic Item Use Off if you want to choose the moment. An automatic jetpack at midfield is a jetpack you do not have on the counter.
Performance Mode Trims visuals on a weak device. It is not the low-detail mesh bug.
Screen Shake Camera shake on hits and shots. Turn it down if it throws off taps.
Game, Crowd, Music Separate volume sliders in the same panel.

Phone and controller

Key remapping in that gear list is described as a PC feature. Mobile uses the Roblox touch layout: a thumbstick, action buttons, and two gadget buttons for slots 1 and 2. Landscape keeps the buttons apart. If auto-sprint empties the stamina bar before you reach the box, turn it off. Sprint on a phone is a hold, so one thumb stays on sprint while the other taps kick.

Controller uses the standard Roblox gamepad mapping. If gadgets sit behind a hold, move slot 1 and slot 2 onto the bumpers so each is one press. Do not rename buttons from an Xbox or PlayStation chart unless the prompt shows those names.

Test the layout in the lobby: swap both item slots, hold sprint until the pips empty, and check that Tackle, Flick, and Curve are not on the same finger. Inventory, opened with C or the lobby button, holds jerseys, balls, emotes, and goal effects. Those are cosmetics.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How many players are in a match?

Servers hold up to eight players, with up to four on each side. Step on the team pad that still has room. A colored ring under your feet marks your side.

How do I curve a shot?

Curve is its own keybind. Open the gear menu and read the Curve row, because videos show middle mouse, right click, and T as defaults. Hold that input while you shoot and move the aim sideways. Practice it on the lobby AI keeper before you use it in a live match.

What is Illegal Soccer?

It is Repotted's Roblox soccer match for up to eight players. The official description adds guns, grappling hooks, jetpacks, tackles, explosions, and oil spills, and it says there are no referees. Goals still decide the match.

Are there Illegal Soccer codes?

Public checks through October 8, 2026 did not find a working code or a redemption control for place 126987974021910. Strings from other Roblox soccer games do not apply here.

How do I unlock Ranked?

A September 20, 2026 ranked update log says you need five owned items, then ten placement matches. Legal Ranked turns items off. Illegal Ranked leaves them on. The same log says repeated leaving can lock you out, while a disconnect can rejoin without that penalty.

Do jerseys or goal effects change my kick?

Jerseys, balls, emotes, and goal effects are cosmetics. They do not change kick power unless the current item card says they do. Roblox Marketplace avatar gear is a different system.
